A Company Built From Experience
Clear The Way Consulting was founded in 2025 by Christy Jones, Ricky Jones, and Jana Jackson. The company is new. The experience behind it is not.
Across many years, the founders have worked in adaptive recreation, assistive technology, personal safety, transition programming, advocacy, mentoring, accessibility, professional training, and community education. Their professional knowledge is also informed by firsthand experience navigating many of the same systems, expectations, adaptations, barriers, and everyday situations that shape CTWC’s work.
CTWC grew from a shared belief that information by itself is rarely enough. People need chances to use what they learn. They need space to ask questions, make decisions, practice, adjust, and build confidence in ways that fit their own lives.
Our Mission
Clear The Way Consulting empowers blind and low-vision individuals to build lives of confidence, independence, and joyful growth while educating sighted organizations and individuals about the blind and low-vision experience.
Through lived experience, faith-driven purpose, and unwavering belief in possibility, we equip our clients with tools and advocacy skills to challenge limitations and live boldly on their own terms. We do not just teach navigation—we help reshape expectations, remove barriers, and clear the way to brighter futures where every person can define their own path with dignity and purpose.
Our mission extends beyond individual empowerment to fostering sensibility—educating sighted organizations and individuals about experiences of people who are blind or have low vision. By building understanding and breaking down misconceptions, we create more inclusive communities where everyone can thrive.
How We Think About the Work
We meet people where they are.
That means we do not assume there is one right way to learn, one definition of independence, or one path toward confidence. Some people learn by doing. Some need a clear explanation first. Some need repetition, time, a different method, or the freedom to figure out what works for them.
Our role is not to decide another person’s life for them. It is to help make options clearer, build useful skills, strengthen self-advocacy, and create opportunities to practice.
Faith, Purpose, and Welcome

Faith is part of CTWC’s foundation and one of our core values. It shapes our belief in purpose, dignity, service, and the worth of each person.
We also believe respect matters. CTWC serves and works alongside people from different backgrounds and beliefs. We do not believe faith has to be hidden, and we do not believe it should be forced. We meet people where they are and build from there.
Our Values
- Empowerment — helping people recognize their choices and take ownership of their path.
- Confidence — building the courage to act, learn, lead, and keep growing.
- Independence — supporting people in defining what independence means in their own lives.
- Faith — working from a belief that each life has purpose.
- Advocacy — strengthening voices while working for access, inclusion, and dignity.
- Integrity — being honest, accountable, and dependable.
- Lived Experience — bringing firsthand understanding into the way we teach, mentor, and build programs.
- Community & Collaboration — recognizing that meaningful change rarely happens alone.

Our Vision
We want to help build communities where blind and sighted people grow together through understanding, shared experience, access, and opportunity.
We envision people who are blind or have low vision being recognized not as exceptions to ordinary life, but as leaders, professionals, parents, athletes, creators, neighbors, and full participants in the communities around them.
