Life does not come with one path.

Neither should the way we learn, grow, work, connect, or build confidence.

Clear The Way Consulting was built around lived experience, practical learning, and a simple belief: people deserve the chance to discover what works for them and build a life that feels like their own.

We work alongside individuals and families, professionals, schools, agencies, churches, businesses, and community organizations—including people whose lives are shaped in different ways by low vision, blindness, disability, and the systems around them. Sometimes that means preparing a young person for work and adult life. Sometimes it means learning to move through the world with more confidence. Sometimes it means helping a school, workplace, or community understand how inclusion works in everyday life.

Built From Lived Experience

A group of adults listens and participates during an interactive workshop.

CTWC was not created from a textbook idea of blindness. It grew from years of living it, teaching it, adapting around it, raising families, working, advocating, traveling, coaching, mentoring, and learning alongside other people.

Our founders bring years of professional and personal experience. Much of what we teach has been lived before it was taught, and that changes the questions we ask. We know that independence does not mean doing everything alone. Confidence is not something another person can hand you. And support works best when it helps someone make their own choices instead of making those choices for them.

That is why we start by meeting people where they are.

Different Paths. Practical Services.

CTWC’s departments address different parts of everyday life through practical services, learning experiences, and opportunities to build confidence, independence, inclusion, and community participation.

Each department has its own focus and approach, while sharing the same CTWC philosophy: learn something useful, put it into practice, and make it your own.

More Than One Audience. One Connected Community.

A person’s opportunities are shaped by more than individual skill. Families matter. Teachers matter. Employers matter. Rehabilitation professionals matter. Churches, recreation programs, businesses, and community spaces matter.

CTWC works on both sides of that equation. We help people strengthen their own skills, confidence, and voice. We also work with the people and organizations around them to build better understanding, access, and participation.

That is how individual growth can become community change.

What Working With CTWC Can Look Like

You may be a parent trying to help your child prepare for what comes next. A rehabilitation agency looking for meaningful transition programming. A school wanting students to experience inclusion instead of only hearing about it. A person who wants to feel more prepared and confident. A church or business trying to welcome people well. Or an organization trying to build better systems.

You do not need to know which CTWC program fits before contacting us. Tell us what you are trying to accomplish. We can start there.

Keep Moving Forward

We believe people grow when they have room to learn, try, choose, connect, and keep moving forward. We believe communities grow when people listen to one another and replace assumptions with understanding.

That is the work behind Clear The Way.
