Jana Jackson

Jana describes herself as a Renaissance Woman, and it is easy to understand why.

Her life and work move through music, voice acting, entrepreneurship, travel, technology, advocacy, faith, teaching, and storytelling. Long before SenseAbility had a name, Jana was already using conversation and creativity to help people understand one another better.

Music has always been central to her life. As a gospel singer, Jana has used her voice to encourage people and share the faith that shapes her own sense of purpose. In 2010, she added another kind of voice work when she entered voice acting. Her work has appeared in radio advertising, video presentations, and more recently in projects involving AI and large-language-model training.

Jana is also an entrepreneur. She opened JJM Travel in 2014 and has helped clients plan both leisure and business travel. Her professional experience also includes years of assistive-technology instruction, teaching people to use tools such as JAWS for Windows, braille displays, and other technology for work, school, and everyday life.

In 2025, those experiences began coming together in a new way when Jana started developing SenseAbility. The idea is straightforward but powerful: meaningful change often starts with honest conversation. Instead of talking about people from a distance, SenseAbility creates room for questions, stories, practical demonstrations, and real interaction.

Jana joined Christy and Ricky as a co-founder of Clear The Way Consulting and now leads SenseAbility. She brings to CTWC a strong belief that people should be seen as whole people before anyone starts making assumptions about what they can or cannot do.

Blindness has been part of Jana’s life since birth, but it is one thread in a much larger story. She is a musician, business owner, teacher, voice actor, traveler, advocate, woman of faith, and creator. Her hope for SenseAbility is that more people will learn to look beyond assumptions, make room for one another, and start better conversations.

For Jana, that is not simply a training topic. It is part of the legacy she wants to leave.
