Ricky Jones

Ricky’s work has always centered on helping people see more possibilities in front of them—and then giving them practical ways to move toward those possibilities.

For more than 16 years, he has worked across adaptive sports, personal safety, mentoring, advocacy, education, nonprofit leadership, and program development. His path began in 2009 with the Tennessee Association of Blind Athletes, where he helped build and teach adaptive recreation and self-defense programs. He later helped lead national programming through STRIVE4You, working with youth, adults, veterans, rehabilitation professionals, and community partners across the country.

In 2025, Ricky co-founded Clear The Way Consulting. Today, he leads Play N Motion and Protect Your Way and has also played a major role in shaping REAL In Action and CTWC’s broader technology and AI systems.

Ricky’s background includes an associate degree in Business Management, nonprofit leadership training, the Tennessee Business Enterprise Program, Partners in Policymaking, and certifications in areas including First Aid, CPR, Mental Health First Aid, personal safety instruction, and adaptive recreation.

Some of his most meaningful work has happened far from a boardroom. He has helped lead transition programming with the South Carolina Commission for the Blind, worked with national veterans programs serving hundreds of veterans and VA professionals each year, coached and taught adaptive sports, and spent years mentoring people who were trying to figure out what came next.

He also knows that a life cannot be reduced to a professional résumé. Ricky is a husband, father, athlete, mentor, and problem-solver. He has competed in goalball, bowling, ballroom dancing, and multiple marathons. Low vision and blindness are part of his experience, but they are not the headline of his story. What matters more to him is what people choose to build with the life in front of them.

That belief shows up throughout his work at CTWC: give people useful tools, make room for choice, challenge assumptions, and keep moving forward.
